Fabulous Finds : Tribal Cushions from Plumo

Plumo continues to be one of my favorite stores to browse. It has a lot of lovely stuff to drool over :) My pick for this week's "Fabulous Find at MDC" are these lovely embroidered cushions. The cushions have been made with patches of tribal fabrics. I love the warm and earthy hues!!

I think these cushions would be the perfect addition for a Fall makeover :) Plumo is a UK based store but they do offer international shipping!! Click here to visit their site.

Home Tour : Maitreyi

Home Tours are back on MDC with a sneak peek into Maitreyi's home in New Jersey. When Maitreyi sent me these images, I was struck by the simplicity, warmth and earthy tones of her pretty home.

I asked Maitryi to share her thoughts about home decor and her personal style. This is what she had to say.........

" I am a Pharmacologist by training who moved from Mumbai to the bustling  city of New York six years ago. In due course, I met the love of my life, enjoyed a whirlwind romance, got married and settled down in  New Jersey. When I am not busy working as a medical writer, I spend  my time decorating my home. My love for interior design is rooted in a book that I first laid my eyes on in early childhood. The book was a gift from a family friend to my then newlywed parents. In fact my parents during my childhood years must have been puzzled by how profound an impact the book had on me :)

The minute you step into our house, most people can easily spot what we care deeply about . A home with warm earthy colors, love of rich wood, breath of freshness provided by plants and the mark of our vibrant Indian heritage. It is our pleasure to welcome you to our home. A small strip of real estate that showcases what we love."

Thank you Maitreyi for sharing the beautiful corners of your home with me and the readers of MDC.

Come Fly With Me To Namibia

Hello to the new week. Are you ready to jet set to another part of the world on my wish list:) Today we are going to Namibia, South Africa.

The Fort at Onguma was named one of the world’s top 30 new hotels in the US Travel & Leisure magazine. I can clearly see why. This place is mesmerising to say the least! The stunning setting, the beautifully designed building and the air of elegance and style makes this property one of a kind. I really like the billowing organza curtains and the antique Moroccan touches through out the property.

The wild beauty of the African landscape and the ultra luxurious accommodations...........sigh it is truly the recipe for a dream vacation.

Here's wishing you a wonderful week ahead.
