My Home in India
I am thrilled by the response to my home in Rang Decor. Its a wonderful feeling to be appreciated by people from all over the world. I owe my parents a lot of gratitude for making me who I am. A big influence and inspiration in my life is my mother. She is my greatest support and also my biggest critic :-) My mom's home is a reflection of her personality. She is a gracious hostess and her style is a combination of simplicity and elegance. These are images from my parents home in Gurgaon.

WOW.. Very impressive!! Your mom indeed looks like a great host. Love the table setting... with the shapes and colours of the serving dishes. Also like the dark wood cabinets and wall stuff. The windchime in the middle looks very impressive.. (I might steal that idea from your mom!!) The blinds look fab...
The home has so much character.... Loved it!! Thank You for sharing..
Thanks so much Patricia. My mom will be delighted to hear your comments.
You've described mausi so perfectly, "gracious and elegant"....I remember visiting here and eating the most delicious biryani last year. I don't think there was any empty place left on the table, it was completely loaded with so many dishes.
Yes, we all develop our sense of style from our parents, especially our mothers.
Thanks Shalini, Mom will be thrilled to see your comment. Are you still in Delhi ?
Yup, I'm in Delhi these days!
EXCELLENT BLOG..... I simply loved the colours of the dishes...
Thank you so much Vasudha. You have a lovely blog as well. I enjoyed going thru it.
Hi Anuradha,
You are making me nostalgic about Gurgaon ... that is a lovely home ... those big windows and doors ... I am thinking of buying a place in Gurgaon ... so your post tips me a lil' bit more towards Gurgaon ... oh dear! :)
Thanks Rajee. My mom will be really pleased. Go ahead and buy the place. Maybe we can meet in Gurgaon sometime!
I love the little niches you Mom's home has. Very classy.
P.S. Is that a Ganesha painting in the first photo?
Thanks for the lovely compliment. Yes that is a Ganesha painting in the first pic. Glad you liked it :-)
