Home Tour : An Estate Bungalow in Coorg

Autumn is definitely my favorite time of the year! There is so much to look forward to! My home is getting a much needed makeover... and I can hardly wait :) The leaves will be changing colors soon and the festive season has kicked off!

I am happy to kick off this season on My Dream Canvas with a peek into a lovely holiday home in Coorg. This delightful place belongs to Sigappi Annamalai. She is the mother of one of my flickr buddies :) Her daughter Meena Sriram's lovely photographs have been featured on MDC before! Meena sent me these images of her mom's lovely home in Coorg a few days ago. I was blown away by the sheer beauty and simplicity of this property. This earthy home has a delightful vibe........ and I for one would love to get an invite :)

In Meena's words, "My mom spun her magic and made it into something out of a fairy-tale. I guess the lush greenery that surrounds it, adds to the charm. It is a perfect getaway"

The love and warmth of this home is apparent in the images! Meena's mom has created a bright and colorful home with simple and inexpensive things! It is a home that invites you to simply relax and unwind. With a little bit of creativity and tons of love and passion you can create your very own charming oasis. Just look around you...... and create magic with what you already have :)

A big thank you to Meena and her mother for sharing these images with me. I am completely charmed and inspired seeing this home. I am sure you will be too!

Take a break from your busy day and daydream about being in Coorg...

Meena as you can clearly see is a brilliant photographer and these lovely images are from her trip to a coffee estate called Narayanagiri.

and she is does the most stunning art illustrations....

A Moodboard As A Headboard

Have you ever thought of creating a mood board? I have been thinking of using an entire wall in my study area to do just that! However, a mood board headboard is quite a novel idea and I absolutely love it. The lovely blogger Tessa Barton has created one in her small apartment in New York and its absolutely perfect. Imagine getting up every morning to see such a happy and cheerful space! An ever changing canvas of all things happy, pretty and Oh! so inspiring!

Did you notice the pillow in the first image? It says " No Bad Days", now that would certainly bring a smile to my face :) Simple yet effective, it is a good motto to live with.... what say??

I am excited about working on my own mood board soon! What about you? Do you have one? If you were to create one, what would it be about? It would be fun to share some ideas...

You can follow Tessa via Instagram to know more about her and to view pictures of her lovely home!

On a completely different note, have you checked out the shiny new collection at The Shop At My Dream Canvas :)
