Happy Birthday........

We are celebrating a big birthday at home tomorrow.  Its my husband's birthday and its also the day I met him eleven years ago. So..........his birthday has always been a double celebration :-) Balloons and cake are part of the plan for the day.....my kids won't have it any other way :-)

Its almost midnight and I am signing off...........have a wonderful day wherever you maybe!!

Fields of beauty....

It's Wednesday and sunny in my part of the world. I am dying to go out and forget all the work and errands for the day. I wish!!!! Remember the Tulip festival we drove to a few a few weeks ago? Today seemed like the perfect day to share the pictures with you. I like to live vicariously through My Dream Canvas - sharing bits of beauty and reliving lovely memories!!!

A Summer Home

With summer around the corner.........lets have a look at some summer homes! I promise to share a few with you.....but for now this one makes my list. The house has such a  relaxed and beautiful vibe to it! I can just imagine myself kicking off my shoes, reading a good book and just lazing around:-)

This house is located in the Costa Brava region in Spain. The house belongs to a designer Beatriz Domingo. She is the owner of a clothing and accessories firm. Beatrice has used vintage, restored pieces and some of her own designs to decorate her home.

A New Week

Wow!! Its been a eventful Sunday to say the least. I am watching the news as I write this and its definitely a day for the history books here in the States. On the home front, it was a lovely weekend as we had two days of endless sunshine!! I begin this week with "smiles" and I think this beautiful photograph by Stephanie Rausser aptly conveys my feelings :-)

May promises to be an eventful month. There is a big birthday coming up and a dream trip.......I am so excited!

Here is a shot of my family room................ I love the sight of the sun streaming in:-) We drove up to the lake to enjoy the lovely weather. The kids had a lot of fun running around. By the way, it was not all fun this weeked. Hubby and I did manage to clean out two closets. Its been on the back burner for a while and after dropping the stuff off at Goodwill we both felt great! The spring cleaning saga continues..............but we are making inroads.
