I Need Another Sunday :)

Hello to the new week. If I had a fireplace like this....... and a beautiful corner like this to sip my morning tea I would never ever be able to leave home :) Sorry, this is not a post about feeling energetic.....and welcoming the new week :)

This is about sitting by a stunning fireplace......about eating cupcakes and drinking tea and a cute little balcony :) Sigh.....I need another Sunday!!! I am off to bury my head and try and shake off those Monday blues!!

A Dream Come True

There are big dreams and little dreams. My dream was pretty small :) I wanted to write and do something for myself......something that would make me feel happy and content. I chose to take a break from work due to personal reasons. My life changed completely a few years ago and that is when I decided to stay home with my kids. I have to confess that there are days when I miss going to work. However, today I am happy to say that My Dream Canvas fills that void. I love blogging. I enjoy writing. I am passionate about photography and my home. Last but not the least, I love the world of home decor and interiors.

I need my daily dose of MDC and I am glad at least some of you feel the same way :) My readership and my friend circle is growing everyday. I  have met some amazing people through My Dream Canvas. Today, I realised that the Facebook page of My Dream Canvas has over 2000 followers. I am thankful for every like, every GFC follower, every Facebook follower and every comment that has come my way :) Thank you for making a "Dream Come True"

Life is Beautiful

I am absolutely loving the beautiful autumn days in my neck of the woods! The days are sunny, cool and crisp. The leaves on the trees are glowing........and it is such a beautiful sight.

 I have had a crazy week. It has been unusually busy and I am exhausted. What I really want to do is, go for a long drive with my family and my camera for company:) I really hope we can do that soon. Sometimes it is nice to slow down and enjoy the simple things in life.

Shadow and Light and My Goddess

My day began this morning with the sunlight streaming in. I saw the beautiful play of shadow and light on a painting in my home. The painting is of the Goddess Durga that once belonged to my parents and now is a part of my home. It really was a lovely sight :)

This is not just a painting for me. It is a reminder of my home back in India, my parents and the numerous festival we celebrated as a family. With the festive season upon us I cannot help but feel nostalgic. At the same time I am looking forward to all the celebrations I have planned for this year :)
