My day began this morning with the sunlight streaming in. I saw the beautiful play of shadow and light on a painting in my home. The painting is of the Goddess Durga that once belonged to my parents and now is a part of my home. It really was a lovely sight :)
This is not just a painting for me. It is a reminder of my home back in India, my parents and the numerous festival we celebrated as a family. With the festive season upon us I cannot help but feel nostalgic. At the same time I am looking forward to all the celebrations I have planned for this year :)
