Happy Monday my friends :-) As part of my summer house series, here is a renovated barn located in Tuscany, Italy. How many of you have seen and liked the movie Under the Tuscan Sun?? I absolutely loved it. On a trip to Italy many years ago.....hubby and I missed our train while wandering the streets of Sienna. It is a lovely town..............
We literally ran to catch the last train of the day. We had to leave for Florence as we were spending the night there. It really was quite an adventure! Looking back I wish we had missed the train as it would have let us spend another day in Sienna :-)
The barn has been completely restored and renovated by architect Daniele Bedini. The home is furnished with flea market finds and items that once belonged to Daniele's grandmother. Hues of lavender and sunflower yellow are the colors that dominate this lovely rustic home.
Tuscany beckons......hope you enjoy the trip :-)

Under the Tuscan sun is my fav and Tuscany is one of our dream destinations..(my list is endless, but Tuscany is one of the top ten :) )
This barn looks so lovely! Sipping coffee on that cane sofa, leaning on those fluffy cushions, reading a nice book.. sigh!!!!
Tuscany - I love it and their red clay pottery. Inspite of being there a couple of times - I can never strike it off from the list.
There is something magical abt tuscan decor. The vibrancy of colors and the rustic old world charm is all very inviting. The photography is beautifully done.
I did, indeed, enjoy the trip, Anu. I loved that movie, by the way. I also like the purple on the walls and blue in the window! Nice combo. Susan
I would so love to spend a week in that fabulous old gem~Cheers Kim
Two words come instantly to mind as I see these pics ... cheerful and life! Love the purples, yellows and pinks! Super find Anu.
