My family room is casual, cosy and fun.....at least, that is how I want it to be :-) This is pretty much where we spend our life when we are home! I like the informality of this space. Off late, I have noticed that I prefer to sit on the couch in this room and blog.
From the couch, I have a view of my backyard. The large windows give me a peak into the outside world. I get a view of the endless rain which is the norm here....... or the rare and lovely sight of the sun streaming through !
The pictures that hang on the wall are significant to me. The bright and colorful truck print reminds me of India. The pictures of our travels and the prints from local art fairs remind me of glorious vacations and fun times.

Anu- I love all the bright prints in your room. I have pictures in our house that serve as reminders of lovely times, too. I blog from the sofa in our gathering room, too. I can listen to the news and watch the Bay outside as the sun moves across it. Hugs- Diana
