New Lamp Shades and morning blues...

The first image from my home says it all :-) I do tend to stay up into the wee hours of the night with MDC and therefore the mornings are tough :-)  Some days I need caffeine before I can even talk :-) This is especially true today. I just want to curl back into bed! That is really not the plan my three year old has for me. She is bursting with energy and a force to reckon with :-)

Do you have some fun plans for the weekend?

On another note. Do you remember the Red and Aqua lamps I bought from an antique store a few months back? I was never really happy with the shades. They came with it and I always felt that they were too big for the lamps. A few days ago I bought these shades and I find them so much better.  It is a pity that this image did not come out all that well. The shades have more of a subtle beige raw silk look but here they seem to be looking white!!!

Anyway, I am happy with the result. I spent a lot of time looking for these shades. When you take on a project at home, small or big.......it is always a relief when its done and over with....right?

Enjoy your Friday and the weekend............

The lamps balance each other. I like that they are somewhat translucent. We are beginning our winter break week so kids are off school. A ton of projects to take care of. Enjoy your weekend.

I've always admired these lamps Anu, they are gorgeous, specially the blue one! The new lamp shades now make them even more gorgeous. Great choice.
