Do you Suffer From House Envy?

Sigh! When I spot so much prettiness that's all I have to say :)  While most of us are trying to create a home that works best for us........do you at times suffer from house envy? Be honest! Do you see a home, and say, I wish mine looked like this?

While I admire tons of homes, personally my space works best for me!  Ultimately the comfort of my own home takes precedence over all the prettiness I spot elsewhere :) On a philosophical note, I truly believe that the people in my home is what makes my home beautiful for me!

I absolutely adore spaces that brings the outdoors inside. Its like the "inside" is having a conversation with the "outside"!! The space flows perfectly when it comes together like that. The endless sunshine filtering through adds to the charm!

This home today sums up my love for bright and airy spaces! So, what are some things that make your envy list?

You are right about - Our home is what works best of us. But I must admit that beautiful homes are my weakness and I cannot stop myself from appreciating them and pick an idea or 2 . Not envy really .. but yes I do appreciate character and beauty every house has to share.

Admire = yes, Envy = well may be sometimes but rarely, Appreciate = Never miss out on giving compliments if it makes me happy and fill with admiration, beg/borrow/steal ideas = have done it plenty of times but try to add in mine too ....
It's a mix of comfort + beauty to me..not all comfortable things look beautiful and viceversa for sure :D....For me most of my envy is concentrated towards a beautiful outdoor space...like the one in this post...Sigh! (with a lil envy) :)

Vidhya, I agree 100 percent, envy is a strong emotion, I admire homes and interiors almost everyday! Yes, like you I envy a beautiful outdoor space like the one above, given our lack of sunshine very soon :)

I appreciate the beauty of other people's homes. And that's about it. Sometimes I will get ideas I'd like to do. But it stops there. I don't envy them. I tend to not compare myself to other people or my things to other people's things for any aspect of life, because it's a really negative feeling, whichever direction it goes, experiencing envy or gloating. I don't like to feel either! So I use the best strategy: avoidance! Sometimes avoidance is a good thing! :)
