I have been experimenting with a new look for My Dream Canvas. I keep going back and forth but for now have settled with this header. I did a post last year about the lehengas and saris used in this collage. Old is gold and and also the new look today :-) These gorgeous outfits are my mom, gandmothers and her mothers ie my great grandmother's. The outfis have zari ( a type of thread made of fine gold or silver wire used in traditional Indian garments woven into fabrics, primarily made of silk to create intricate patterns ) and brocade ( a class of richly decorative fabric, often made in colored silks and with or without gold and silver threads) in them.
My daughter, Sneha is just a toddler today. However, I hope someday she will wear these outfits with pride and keep the romance and richness of her legacy alive.
