Furniture Hunting At Antique Stores

Do you have a favorite go to place to buy furniture? I used to frequent the regular furniture stores here in the States when I was setting up my first home in Atlanta! Off late that has changed for me. I hardly buy furniture now as I have no space nor the budget for it. However, I love browsing antique stores and sometimes you find things there that are hard to resist :)

A few years ago, I found this 19th century antique English Oak hutch at a local antique store. I fell in love with it. I knew instantly that it would fit the alcove in my foyer. What made it even better was the price tag! I bought it for 200 bucks which for something like this is a steal! Can you blame me :)

What about you? What kind of furniture are you drawn to? Do you have a special store you like to frequent?

Antique furniture is my favorite thing to shop for. I love secretary desks and french chairs but the sad part is that you can only buy so many of those things.

My personal style of decor doesn't incline towards Antiques, but I can definitely appreciate a take home piece for a throwaway price like that. It is gorgeous. did you have to restore it or do is this as is?
