OIMEI

I have a lot of admiration for people who follow their dreams and do a lot of good in the process!

Born and raised in Northern California, Aimi Duong went  to Bangkok, Thailand  to study and travel in Southeast Asia and search for her Eastern roots. Aimi wanted to do her part in creating change and promoting peace by sharing stories of people living in the rural areas. She spent some time in villages and discovered the beautiful craft of hand woven textiles which lacked exposure to the wider world.

Oimei Co. was founded in 2011 with the primary goal of selling fair trade textile pillows and accessories to empower women to rise above poverty. Oimei donates 50% of net profits to charity peace building initiatives in developing communities.

I am so in love with this pillow made by the hill tribe artisans in Northern  Thailand........

What lovely pillows, and how generous for half of the profits to be donated to charity.
