My Dream Canvas gives me the opportunity to share the work of some of the nicest and most talented people from around the world.  Meena Sriram and MDC have had a long association and its wonderful to feature her again today! Meena has recently tried her hand at brush lettering and hand lettering . This is her latest passion and she is completely in love with this art form. Her interest has lead her to start her Etsy store and her work is also available at a  Gear Bubble store called SivalayaDesigns. This is where she is selling 

original pieces of hand lettering art . Her aim is to try her hand at digital downloads as well.

A few weeks back I had introduced my latest venture. Today the entire collection is available via The Shop At My Dream Canvas.
Please visit my Facebook page for regular updates about this collection. Ananya by My Dream Canvas is a small collection of handcrafted jewelry. These unique pieces are handcrafted in India and are a contemporary take on traditional designs. The designs are a blend of beads, semi precious stones and silver. Each piece of jewelry is one of a kind and has been exclusively designed by me and my team.

Monday Cheer

It is time to get ready for another week. My weekend was nice. Saturday, I spent the day with a college friend. You know that is always special :) Sunday was perfectly lazy :) We slept, watched TV, did a few things around the house........and chatted with each other :) My seven year old and three year old have so much to say :)

I picked up a few stems of flowers to shake off the Monday blues :) It is the simplest things that sometimes makes life beautiful. A lazy Sunday with my family and some pretty flowers!

New Goodies at The Shop:)

Here is a sneak peek at the Summer 2012 collection for the Shop at My Dream Canvas. I was nervous and excited when I thought of starting my little online boutique. Today, I am so glad that I actually went ahead and did it :-) It has been a constant source of joy. I love sourcing things for the home.......little knick-knack and artifacts that I am attracted to as well as things that are one of a kind. The best part of the entire process is when you all "like" what you see :) I appreciate each and every comment and your constant encouragement and support. A big thank you to all the lovely people who have made something from my Shop a part of of your home.

I also want to thank my International readers for all the emails and requests. Maybe someday my little boutique will grow enough for me to begin International shipping as well:) The Shop at My Dream Canvas accepts payment via Paypal. So for those of you who are not based here but want to purchase something, you can, as long as you have it shipped to a US address. We will also be happy to send birthday/anniversary gifts to your family and friends here in the States :) Our products usually ship via 2 day Fedex.

The Shop at My Dream Canvas is a collection of things handpicked by me for your home! The idea behind my online boutique is really very simple. I enjoy collecting things that are both unique and beautiful and I want to share it with others. Each and every product that I source is something that I have personally found inspiring. It gives me great pleasure to see The Shop at My Dream Canvas become a part of some one's home :-) I am really enjoying this journey and curating a collection that is from my heart!

What a  lovely surprise!! A very dear blogger friend, the talented Sudha of the Design Enthusiast has featured my little Shop on her blog. I really admire Sudha. She is one of the most genuine people I have connected with since I started blogging a few years ago. Sudha's other blog A Green Crusader at Work is a very inspiring blog. Sudha advocates Green living and is very passionate about being sustainable and Eco-friendly. A very worthy cause that a lot of us tend to ignore in our daily lives. Way to go Sudha and thanks a million!

Treasures to Cherish....

A house full of goodies, yes its Christmas all over again. I am unpacking my suitcases and admiring the new treasures for my home:-) I saw this lovely peacock box and instantly fell in love with it. The intricate detailing on them is exquisite. I am not even sure if its really a box but its just so beautiful.
I am sure you are well aware of my love for vintage inspired brass artifacts. Another weakness I have is for tea light holders! These pretty flower shaped ones are no exception :-)

Musings in the New Year.

Wow! It's 2012....and we have another year to look forward to!! I am back after a glorious trip to India. My brother's wedding was fabulous to say the least. Catching up with friends and family....and the best part of it all was welcoming the newest addition to the family...my lovely sister in law :-) The smiling faces....the chitter-chatter, the chaos, the confusion......they all make for wonderful memories!

Now it's back to reality and the trials and tribulations of dealing with jet lag. Yes, that means dinner at 2.00 am. Comfort food and the endless cups of caffeine are my constant companions!

Someday, my household will function at a sane pace :-) However for now join me for a cup of tea and lets talk about our plans for the New Year! So, what's going on with you? At my end, The Shop at My Dream Canvas will be up and running soon. Make sure you stop by and take a look at the new goodies!!
