Hello Monday people :) I have just the eye candy for you to get over the Monday blues :) Have you heard of NAPEANSEA? This is a small lifestyle brand with a collection of house ware and lifestyle accessories that pays homage to the multi-faceted city of Bombay, India! 

NAPEANSEA brings together old age traditions of bandhani, hand block printing and embroidery in a new light! Founded in the Summer of 2015, this brand is the brainchild of  a  mother-daughter design team, Reena and Rohini Wahi.  Rohini  is a London based journalist and trend forecaster for the design industries.

Heading to Marrakesh?

Are you heading to Marrakesh soon? Its been on my bucket list for a while. Lets see when I get there! Another place on my list is Slovenia! I am day dreaming a wee bit these days:) While surfing the web recently, I stumbled upon an article which makes for an interesting read.

Read about what a Michelin Star Chef  says you must bring back from Morocco on Conde Nast Traveler. I do love shopping for culinary goodies on my trips. On my trip to Italy last summer, I brought back a ton of spices and oils particularly for my mom who loves to cook and experiment!

So what's on your bucket list for this year? Also if you have been to Slovenia or Morocco, I would love some tips!

The Beauty and Soul of A Home and a Nomination

Good Morning! How have you been? Its come as a complete surprise to be nominated for the IDIA Asian Paints Decor Blogger of the Year. I want to thank each and every one of you for reading MDC and for making this possible. For those of you who voted for me, I am really touched! This journey of becoming a decor blogger happened quite by accident, and its been an incredible few years! 

I want to share a post I wrote a while ago, about what I consider to be, the beauty and soul of a home! Here are a few lines ............

 " I can simply state, that my home "moves me". I guess because these four walls are my comfort zone. Living here with my Family, is what makes it perfect! We build our home over time and with layers. The layers in my home are far from perfect, nothing matches and not everything fits perfectly :) However, beauty does not come from perfection....right? Your home does not have to be perfect in the conventional sense....but you should love it, and make a connection with it. Call me a sentimental fool, but my Family, my Friends who live close by and the imperfect layers in my home gives it beauty and a soul! 

 I am grateful for my home and to all my readers who bring a smile to my face!

Treasure Hunting For You :)

Good Morning all! My apologies for missing in action! Its been a busy few weeks at the MDC Casa! I am having a wonderful time looking for antique treasures for your home. I previewed a small collection called the Antique Bazaar 2016 via the online store and on our Facebook page. I am pleased as a punch with the fantastic response. My handpicked finds have found lovely homes! While my intentions are good, there are many things that are hard to part with! I am tempted to keep them all for myself. Alas, my home would then turn into a museum or worse a cluttered mess!! Sigh! 
Anyway....I am enjoying this journey of treasure hunting so wish me luck as I trudge along..... 

 Today, I am loving this "Laid Back Look" on the red patina blog. It oozes a casual yet sophisticated vibe with a bit of boho thrown in!

If you have a global home or aspire to have one then this collection is for you :) Some of the pieces are extremely rare and have a fascinating story to go with it. Can you guess which one it is? A conversation piece and a slice of history, each and every item has been handpicked by me for your home. Please note these are vintage items and therefore in limited supply!

A Journey Begins "2016"

Hello My lovely readers. I am popping in to wish you a A Very Happy New Year! Its been quite a year and I am convinced the "best is yet to come" I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your continuous friendship and loyalty to MDC :) My life has its highs and lows and yet this space is my constant haven thanks to you :) As we move into the New Year, I am sharing a video of my recent trip to the mountains. It was both magical and peaceful and I had to share this experience with you. I wish that the journey called "2016" is every bit as magical for you!
