If you have a global home or aspire to have one then this collection is for you :) Some of the pieces are extremely rare and have a fascinating story to go with it. Can you guess which one it is? A conversation piece and a slice of history, each and every item has been handpicked by me for your home. Please note these are vintage items and therefore in limited supply!

While I work on getting the online shop up and running, here is another look at my picks for "The Shop" at My Dream Canvas. With Diwali (the festival of lights) and Christmas coming up in a few months, these are lovely gifts for "you" or for someone else!

Each of these items are special to me and I am thrilled to share them with you..........


A pair of mother of pearl inlaid metal bowls......

One of my favorite pieces in the shop, I have one in my home as well. A large beautifully detailed white metal vase.

A set of 5 unique and handmade brass coasters. Please note that there are subtle differences in the design of each one of them.

A lovely Kalamkari silk wallet. Kalamkari refers to the Indian craft of painting natural dyes on cotton or silk fabric.

A Birthday and An Announcement

March of 2009 is when I began My Dream Canvas. It started out as an online diary for my everyday thoughts. Today, two years later, I am thrilled, humbled and proud to see my "baby" grow :-) I have a confession to make......I have forged the birthday date a bit and officially declare March 13th as my blogs birthday. To be honest.....I did write my first post in early March but my reason for picking the 13th is that its my birthday too :-) What can I say......I simply love the thought :-)

Here's a big thank you to all my "virtual friends" who drop by here and for your constant support.  You guys are the best :-)

Today, I am pleased to announce :

A shop with a global feel. A little bit of this and a little bit of that. "The Shop" at My Dream Canvas will feature my exclusive picks for you and your home. My vision for the store is to bring the world into your homes.....with a variety of products from near and far. This new venture is another step towards making a dream come true :-) The "Shop" is still a work in progress and I hope to have it up and running soon!
