A Magical Ship

Yes, I am well aware that I am an adult and that I am actually going to write a post on a Disney themed cruise ship :-) What can I say....the magic caught up with me! Actually it was more to do with the fact that my five year old and two year old loved it. Therefore mom and dad enjoyed the benefit of having happy kids :-) The Disney Wonder is known to hold the title of the friendliest crew at sea and now I know why!


The crew was fantastic and we were pampered beyond words. Amidst Alaska's amazing natural beauty, we had a beautiful home in the Disney Wonder. Okay.... I could go on and on.......suffice to say it was my first cruise and that too a Disney cruise.... so I am on a high :-)

Alaska memories

Hi there! I have over three thousand pictures to sort through from my trip. No easy task I have to say, and these are just the first few......

Alaska's natural beauty is something that I have heard, read and researched and longed to see for myself. However, nothing prepared me for the actual sight. The views everywhere were stunning and mesmerising. The weather Gods were in our favour and it did not rain a single day. In fact we had abundant sunshine the day we got the first glorious views of the glacier from the cruise ship.

I got this shot of another cruise ship just ahead of us entering Tracy Arm.

Where dreams come true!

Hello friends! I am back from a vacation where "dreams come true". These are not my words but my son's. We cruised to Alaska for seven nights aboard the Disney Wonder! A magical and fabulous ship, filled with laughter and smiles  and  a destination that's filled with beauty and drama. Alaska  leaves you awestruck with its unparalleled natural beauty. As you can see.....I am so in love with my vacation and my first cruise :-)

Though My Dream Canvas talks of design and decor, I plan to shift the focus for a while. I invite you to see Alaska through my eyes:-) I look forward to sharing my memories with you in my upcoming posts......

Hello Monday and some news..
