Peony Crush At MDC

In the past few years, you have probably noticed my obsession with Peonies. In my opinion, Peonies are definitely one of the prettiest flowers around. What makes them more alluring is their short blooming season. I eagerly await their arrival every spring. Unfortunately, their beauty is short lived and in a few weeks they begin to disappear. 

I am a big believer of fresh flowers and fill my home with them whenever possible. However, really I wish that peonies would bloom year round so that I could look at them constantly :)  A recent collaboration with Commercial Palm Trees has solved my dilemma!! From fake palm trees to the prettiest faux peonies, they have them all. After a lot of thought, I picked out two varieties of peonies. They arrived at my doorstep and I have to say that they are amazing. The color, the texture, and the complete look and feel of each of the stems is brilliant.

With the dreary weather in the Pacific Northwest, I have become a big believer in mixing faux plants with the real ones. The faux plants make sure that my home has a touch of green at all times :)

For The Love of Peonies

Hi there! As my weekend comes to an end....... I have to say it was a good one :-) After running the mundane errands, we took a break and spent some time outdoors. The weather was on our side today :-) We drove to Green Lake, a stunning lake right in the middle of the city. The kids loved it and they had a great time riding their bikes. Of course hubby and I spent most of our time running behind our three year old. She made sure her bike kept drifting towards the water. Ah! the joys of having an energetic three year old :-)

It was a lovely day and it seemed the entire city was at the Lake!

 

After lunch we drove to Pike Place Market. Peonies are in season and they were everywhere!! I absolutely adore these delicate and pretty flowers.

I had to bring back some for the house! They were so hard to resist. I picked a few that have not yet bloomed so more pictures will follow :-)

A break from the everyday routine is always therapeutic and this weekend was one of those :-) Here's wishing you a wonderful week ahead!

Hello June

Summer comes knocking with June here. We are still getting rain and the temperatures are not heating up but I guess we will get there :-)

With the weekend here the next two days look very busy for me. The good part is that I have a college friend moving into town..........Yay!! I am looking forward to spending some time with her and her family. What are you doing this weekend? Hope it turns out to be fun and relaxing!

A Picture Perfect Day

It has been one of those days! With the sun streaming through my window.........I would call it a picture perfect day!  I was not kidding when I mentioned earlier that my home is filled with Tulips:) I happily clicked a few pictures to share with you.

Photography is my biggest stress buster. On any given day, taking pictures always makes me smile:-) I am playing around with a few effects these days and this look is the one that I like today!

Hello Monday!!

Another week and another Monday.....hope your weekend was fun? Here are some flowers from me to you........to wish away your Monday blues:-) I had an action packed yet lovely weekend. A lunch with friends and relatives, sightseeing and shopping. This picture is of my table setting from the lunch on Friday. A ferry ride on Saturday to Whidbey Island. A Dahlia on my window!!

It was errand day at home!! Hope your Sunday was a bit more exciting:-) However, this pretty Dahlia came home with me today. Its amazing how a little thing can brighten your day!!! Isn't the color gorgeous....reminds me of Ashes of Roses (of Thorn Birds fame)
