Waterfront Yali in Istanbul

Yali's, I like the sound of it :-) These are actually homes in Turkey built on the river Bosphorus. In the 18th and 19th centuries rich Ottomans, eager to escape the summer heat of Istanbul, built wooden villas—Yalis—along its banks. With the fall of the Ottoman Empire after World War I, the Yali's fell out of favor. The Turks have recently realized what treasures they are.
This Yali was beautifully restored by a couple in the late 90's and the interiors as well as the fabulous location takes my breath away...

I love the elegance of this room and the gorgeous view. The chairs are my favorite....and are just my style!!

Hope you enjoyed your trip to Istanbul :-)
